Ceramic is the resilient material of choice for manufacturers looking for strength, durability, and thermal conductivity. But the presence of defects like cracks, porosity, and contaminants can lead to the brittle fracture of ceramics during the cooling process. Inspection is therefore key for ensuring quality, particularly for technical applications in aerospace and defense.
We provide detailed internal inspection data for failure analysis when identifying features like wall thickness, internal fit to mating parts, and defects created by cracks, porosity, and contaminants. We also conduct pre-production and production inspection to validate out of tolerance dimensions for First Article Inspection. Inspection services are also used to perform lot inspection of quarantined or batch parts and provide reverse engineering for design.

Our advanced NDT systems tackle inspection of the wide range of ceramic materials, including traditional ceramics like porcelain and clay, and engineered ceramics like silicon nitride, alumina, titanium carbides, and ceramic composites.
