NDT for Assemblies Using Industrial Computed Tomography

Industrial Computed Tomography (CT) Scanning is a non destructive testing (NDT) method, which uses x-ray technology to examine and check the internal and external geometry of a part. Jesse Garant & Associates is a metrology laboratory providing internal part inspection in 3D, using industrial CT scanning. Industrial CT scanning produces 3D representations of components both externally and internally by interlacing 2D radiography images together. CT scanning is a NDT method, as parts are scanned in a free-state environment without any pressures or fixtures applied to the part.

Examples of the test that can be conducted include; a detail measurement of both the assembly and any component within, inspection of voids and porosity, or even a wall thickness analysis that shows the measure of the wall stock at various sections of the part.
