How to Inspect and Analyze a Bulb Using 3D X Ray CT Scanning

Inspection of a bulb can easily be performed using industrial computed tomography (CT) scanning to see internal and external features. CT scanning is a NDT method, which uses 3D x-ray technology that allows for internal and external analysis of a bulb. Measurement can also be taken to examine the bulb’s internal components. Slicing through the 3D render, a failure or defect can be located and measured. This can be useful for extending the lifetime of lamps for consumer use.
